Scanning Slide for Text (OCR)

Previous Top Next

After capturing a presentation you may use the MC-100's OCR feature to scan and extract text from all of the captured slides.  The OCR process will attempt to extract Slide Titles and Slide Text into editable fields for each slide. Slide Titles are used to create a published presentation's Table of Contents. Slide Text comes from the main body of each of slide (ie. the "bullet points") within the presentation. Slide Text is associated with each slide and can be searched for and synchronized when viewing a published presentation.

To run the OCR process on your slides:

1.   Click the OCR... button scanningslidefortextocrb1 located just below the Slide Thumbnails list:

2.   The OCR Scanning progress window will open:

3.   Depending the number of slides and the complexity of the slide images, scanning may take several minutes.  Please wait until the process completes - the progress window will close automatically.

4.   The presentation thumbnails will refresh with all of the scanned results populated in the Slide Title and Slide Text fields.
