Once you've reviewed your captured presentation(s) and made any necessary edits, you are ready to publish your Project.  Publishing an MC-100 Project will convert each of the presentations contained within the project into a web friendly format that is viewable by anyone with a web browser.  The publish process creates a separate directory for each published presentation contained within your project, along with a project summary page, that allows you to easily launch each presentation.

To Publish an MC-100 project:

1.   Verify the folder name in step 1.  By default the folder name will be the name of your project file.  In the example below our project is named "BRIEF OVERVIEW 2", so that is the default value for step 1 when first come to the Publish Tab.

2.   Verify the location to save your published project in step 2.  By default, the MC-100 stores all published projects in a folder named "Published Projects" located in the MC-100 folder which is located in your Windows My Documents folder.

3.   Click Publish

4.   The Publish Progress window will open.  This window will provide details on the status of the publish process.  Please note that the publish process publishes all presentations contained within a project.

In the example below, we are currently publishing the "BRIEF OVERVIEW" presentation (which is presentation 1 of 2) and we are on step 1 of 3 (Processing Template...).  Each presentation has 3 steps to complete and this window will provide status on the overall process.  The length of the publish process varies by number of presentations, length of videos, number of slides per presentation, etc.

Once publishing has completed the Publish Progress window status will change to say Publishing Complete...   100%

5.   To open the Folder where the project and related presentations were published to Click Open Folder...

6.   This opens the Windows Explorer folder where the Published project was published to - in this case the folder created is named "Brief Overview 2" and is located at C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\MC-100\Published Projects\

Notice that each presentation (in this case "BRIEF OVERVIEW" and "brief overview 1") each have their own folder.  Also, a file named "index.html" is located in this folder.  The index.html file is the Project Summary Page.  The index.html file lists each presentation, along with presentation details and a link to launch each presentation.

7.   To Preview the published project click the Preview... button -  This will open the Project Summary Page window (Note: this is the exact same operation as opening the Published Folder and double- clicking the index.html file described in Step 6).  Once this window opens you can click the View Presentation link to launch the presentation.

8.   That's it.  Your project has been published.  To quickly locate your Published Presentations folder - you can use the menu option View-->View Published Projects...

Tip: In Steps 1 and 2 above you may override the default folder locations, but it is recommended you leave the default settings.  Also, if the folder name you specify in Step 1 already exists, then the system will automatically append a timestamp to the Project File name to help ensure you do not inadvertantly overwrite a published projects.  If you wish to overwrite an existing project, simply confirm the overwrite when prompted after clicking the Publish button.

Note:   Published projects are essentially taking an MC-100 Project file and converting it into a set of web files/folders that can be viewed using a web browser.  A published project's folder/files are separate from the project file itself and once published represent a a project at a point in time.  So, you can edit or delete published projects and this will not affect the project files that these published projects were created from.  Keep that in mind, and publish and re-publish projects.  You can always delete or clean up the Published Projects folder.  As long as you keep your project files around, you'll be able to re-publish at anytime.
