1. Audio Input Bars are not moving up and down
This issue typically occurs when either the microphone device is not connected to the sound card or the default recording device's microphone recording control is not selected.
First, verify that the microphone is properly connected to the on-board audio card and that the device is working properly. If microphone is connected and working then try the following to ensure the microphone recording control is selected:
From within Windows:
1. Select Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
2. Click on the Audio tab
3. In the Sound Recording section, under Default Device select Realtek HD Audio Input from the list
4. Click the Volume button.
5. In the Recording Control window, ensure the Microphone is checked
6. Close the Recording Control window and return to the MC-100, the Audio Input bars should now be moving up and down
If this did not resolve the issue, check to ensure that your Audio Capture device setting is set to Realtek HD Audio Input and that Input Source is set to Mic Volume, from within the MC-100:
From within the MC-100 Operator Console:
1. Select Tools> Preferences...
2. Click on the Capture Devices tab
3. In the Audio Capture section, under Device select Realtek HD Audio Input from the list
4. Under the Input Source, select Mic Volume
5. Click Ok
6. The Audio Input bars should now be moving up and down
2. Captured audio volume is low or hard to hear
To adjust the audio recording volume level:
From Windows:
1. Select Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices
2. Click on the Audio tab
3. In the Sound Recording section, under Default Device select Realtek Audio from the list
4. Click the Volume button.
5. In the Recording Control window, ensure the Microphone is checked
6. Adjust the Volume slider higher
7. Record a short presentation to verify audio volume is louder
